Glenlily Grounds is an annual art event taking place in Newburgh, NY in which I have participated since 2016. Each year, I embrace the challenge of creating work specific to the natural environment in which it is shown.

For this series of work, I was interested again in making something would interact within the context of the natural environment and simultaneously relate back to my studio practice. I initially considered working with tarpaulins for their ability to create a large, temporary outdoor living environment, but later selected them for their ability to cover large expanses of space. Bright orange duct tape was chosen to create the lines on the camouflaged tarps to convey a sense immediacy and reinforce the the functionality of the materials used.
